How cool is this board? End grain is the toughest, longest lasting side of wood for cutting and both the walnut and purple heart end grain is used in this piece. The centerpiece of this board is walnut with a unique sap line that zig-zags up the board. A strip of purple heart is then used to accent the walnut with purple heart used again on the sides.
Purple heart is a South American wood and that's it's natural color. No dyes or stains used here. All oil and wax used is food safe as well. I need to get better pictures, but wanted to get this posted as well.
